The challenge
LegalCare provides secure case management and compliance tools to law firms. Costs on AWS were climbing and monitoring was fragmented across the stack. Compliance requirements pushed the firm toward tighter Microsoft ecosystem integration, which meant a move to Azure. The one hard constraint: the platform served law firms and could not go dark during the migration.
What we built
We migrated the stack with continuity as the first requirement.
- Migration executed with Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery
- Databases moved from AWS RDS to Azure SQL with replication for near-zero downtime
- Storage migrated from S3 to Azure Blob
- Identity and compliance rebuilt on Azure AD with role-based access control and multi-factor authentication
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Cost Management deployed for unified visibility and ongoing optimisation
The results
The platform stayed live across the cutover, the firm landed on a compliant Azure-native foundation, and infrastructure cost dropped.
