Factory digitisation
Make material, consumables, production and packaging accountable from intake to finished output, with the live data needed to act on losses.
What does factory digitisation make visible?
It makes the operational trail inspectable: which machine consumed an item, whether raw input reconciles with output, where rework and sweepings sit, and whether packaging delivered the GSM that was ordered. At a biscuit plant, MarsLab built production tracking, machine-wise allocation, mass reconciliation and floor dashboards around that trail.
What we build
- 01
Item-to-machine allocation for consumables and spares
- 02
Production tracking and full mass reconciliation
- 03
Packaging usage analysis against ordered GSM
- 04
Procurement, inventory, maintenance and operations dashboards
Documented outcomes
- /A 300 kg/day biscuit plant digitised to the item level
- /Full mass balance from raw input to finished output
- /Packaging GSM shortfalls exposed and costed
Questions we get asked
What does digitising to the item level mean?
Every consumable and spare is allocated to the machine that used it, so a loss has a location. The biscuit plant engagement digitised a 300 kg/day operation at that granularity.
How do you know where material is being lost?
Full mass reconciliation from raw input to finished output. Rework and sweepings stop being an unexplained gap between what went in and what shipped.
Can you check what suppliers actually delivered?
Packaging usage is analysed against the GSM that was ordered, which exposed and costed shortfalls that invoices alone would not have shown.
Who uses the system day to day?
Procurement, inventory, maintenance and operations each get the dashboard for their own decisions, because a single plant-wide report is read by nobody in particular.
